Phiona Mutesi (1996-) is a Ugandan chess player. She’s represented Uganda in four Women’s Chess Olympiads and is one of the first female players in Ugandan chess history. A book about Mutesi was published in 2012 and a film entitled Queen of Katwe in 2016.
