Ferenc Berkes, born on August 8, 1985, in Baja, Hungary, is a distinguished Hungarian chess grandmaster renowned for his strategic prowess and consistent performance. He achieved the title of Grandmaster in 2002 and has been crowned Hungarian Chess Champion eight times, with victories in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, and 2018. In 2002, he secured the World Under-18 Championship, marking a significant milestone in his early career. Berkes has also represented Hungary in various international competitions, including the Chess World Cup 2011, where he competed against top-tier players.
