Brian Sebastian Escalante Ramirez (born 1999) is a Peruvian chess Grandmaster who began playing chess at the age of five, coached by Jose Luis Chong Sanchez. In 2017, he won the Pan American Junior Chess Championship. He achieved the Grandmaster title in November 2023 after defeating Yasser Quesada in the U.S. Masters Open. Escalante Ramirez is currently pursuing a master’s degree in IT and management at the University of Texas at Dallas and is a member of the university’s chess team.
