Peter Svidler – Pyotr Veniaminovich Svidler (1976-) is a Russian chess grandmaster and chess commentator. Along with 43 other elite Russian chess players, Svidler signed an open letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin protesting the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and expressing solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
