Ekaterina Kovalevskaya is a Russian chess player born in 1974. She holds the titles of Woman Grandmaster and International Master, with a peak classical rating of 2292.
She won the Russian Women's Chess Championship twice, first in 1994 and again in 2000. Kovalevskaya also took silver at the Women's European Individual Chess Championship in 2000 and 2001. In 2004, she finished as the runner-up in the Women's World Chess Championship, which earned her the International Master title.
The Russian national team relied on her for several Women's Chess Olympiads between 1994 and 2006. She played in the Women's World Team Chess Championships in 2007 and 2009.
