About the players

Jaime Sunye Neto is a Brazilian Grandmaster born in 1957. He won the Brazilian championship seven times between 1976 and 1983. After earning the International Master title in 1980, he reached the Grandmaster rank in 1986.
He had a great run at the 1979 Interzonal in Rio de Janeiro. Though he was untitled at the time, he finished fifth overall and beat several grandmasters, including the winner Lajos Portic.
Sunye Neto also served as president of the Brazilian Chess Confederation from 1988 to 1992. His highest rating is 2386 in rapid chess.

Walter Browne was an Australian-born American chess and poker player. He won the U.S. Chess Championship six times and FIDE awarded him the Grandmaster title in 1970.
He played at a high level for years.
