Due to the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) pandemic, health officials everywhere encourage people, especially those in at-risk categories, to stay at home as much as possible.

We’re doing our (tiny) part to make this easier. We’ve increased server capacity and lifted the daily limits for users of the free version, so you can spend more time playing chess!

As all this means extra resources we have to pay for, we appreciate your support as well. Sparkchess relies on revenue from Google ads and Premium Live subscriptions to pay the bills.

Our team is working mostly from home during this period. We miss the in-person interactions but we have to protect our loved ones.

So hang in there. We’ll get through this!

Armand Niculescu is a full-stack developer and creator of SparkChess. He has two BDs in engineering and marketing and a MSc in Management. He's been programming since the age of 12 and he also loves design, photography, and - obviously - chess.

    I used to play every day butility now I can only access via tablet or destop. Not on phone why?
